Jumps racing has been suspended after three horses died during the Warrnambool Racing Carnival
Racing Victoria has charged a Warrnambool trainer with making comments prejudicial to the image of racing after he threatened to kill his horses and send their heads to industry figures if jumps racing was banned.
David Londregan has seven horses and told various media outlets he would video his horses being shot, have their heads cut off, and send the heads to racing officials and a group against jumps racing. This guy is SICK! what kind of megalomanic says stuff like this??
His comments followed Racing Victoria's decision to suspend the sport after three horses died during the Warrnambool Racing Carnival.
Mr Londregan said last Friday a ban would destroy his livelihood and leave his horses with no future. Ever heard of the word "rehab"?? I think Mr. Londregan needs a little "rehab" of his own.
"I'm going to have to shoot my horses and I will, well I'm threatening to send a head or two around the countryside to the powers to be, just to remind them what damage they are doing to our horses," he said. HUH? Did he really say this convoluted piece of crap? ..."what damage they are doing to our horses"...after he threatens to send a head or two around the countryside????
Racing Victoria Stewards spoke to Mr Londregan on Monday afternoon, and relied on evidence from media organisations including the ABC during today's inquiry.
